Day one is the hotel. Day two is a campus, an office, or China Mobile on the street. They are not the same network. A VPN that held for a map search at the airport can stall on the office Wi-Fi at 9:30.
For the first week, keep the setup boring:
- One account on the phone and the laptop
- Connect, and if pages do not load, quit the app and switch location
- Between 8:00pm and 11:00pm, prefer Hong Kong or Singapore
- During the day, switch location when the one you are on goes slow
- Leave WeChat, Alipay, and the bank on the local path
Do not spend the week collecting APKs from strangers. The client you installed before the flight is the one to debug. If it connects and then moves no data, that is a dead flow, not a reason to install three more apps.
Qiao's paid plans are unlimited. Torrents are blocked on every server. The download page has Windows and Android. iPhone and Mac are not available yet.
If a location is slow, note which one and the time. That is the useful report. "It doesn't work" is not.
